The Oblong Box (1969)

Another AIP Vincent Price, Edgar Allan Poe adaption. This one has a very elaborate story that I will not try to explain. It involves your typical Poe buried alive scenario and the resurrection of a man with a horribly disfigured face with a vendetta against those who is to blame. The constant twists in the plot really helps to hold the attention as well as a great performance by Price and Christopher Lee. Some of the other madness that The Oblong Box offers is a blood thirsty slasher type character who wears a red executioner's mask, multiple throat slashings with bright-crayola-red-blood, Flower pot smashing to achy-breaky-skull, some bare breasts, grave robbing, shovel to head, double barrel shot gun to chest, boiling water to face, goat slaughter, strange voodoo happenings and its all completed with a silly Carrie style ending.
