Born To Lose (1999)

Probably the worst punk movie I have ever seen. There is absolutely nothing interesting going on here. It follows a useless junkie named Stevie and his shitty band that sounds and looks more like a 90's grunge band then a punk band. Stevie is supposed to be on a downward spiral throughout the movie but to me he pretty much seems the same all the way through. The most punk rock thing about this movie is probably a few cool flyer's on walls in the background. Other then that its just some lame anticlimactic waste of time. The music sucks, the characters suck, the plot sucks, and if anybody out there likes this movie... They suck too!

The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976)

Weird 70's Slasher that would come out two years before Halloween. This one is about a sicko with a sack over his head who is sadistically killing the Arkansas folk down in a town called Texarkana. The killers only real pattern seems to be that he kills at Sundown and the murders seem to happen about 21 days apart. Other then that he may shoot one victim, stab another or just bludgeon them to death. The town is scared shitless and nobody knows who, how or where the masked killer will strike next. This movie has some very strange happenings going on. Stuff like a girl being killed with a knife and a trombone at the same time. I think this was to get the point across that the killer is unpredictable but gets some kind of sick, perverse, pleasure out of all this. At times the film can be very dark and realistic. For instance the killer isn't perfect and some of his victims get away but are usually beaten close to death. One character has her back and breast severely bitten with huge chunks of skin missing but then the movie gets a little lame for me with all the comic relief. The police seem like they are right out of Last House On The Left. They just kind of make fools of themselves by driving into a lake or bumping into walls, all while silly music is playing in the background. Despite the crappy comedy scenes, I really enjoyed this one. They almost went about it with a documentary type style with narration and times and dates. This is because the movie is supposed to be a true story. The killer never gets caught in the end of the film which just makes the movie all that much more realistic. It leaves us off with the narrator explaining how the townspeople all have different ideas on what happened to the killer who had them fearing Sundown. This one is totally worth a watch and you can't help but being reminded of movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and especially Friday The 13th Part 2 with the sack over the head. Any lover of gritty 70's horror films should get a kick out of this one.

A Bucket Of Blood (1959)

Around this time Roger Corman was good for directing about five movies a year but in 1959 he only did two. One of those movies was A Bucket Of Blood, A comedic horror movie that takes a jab and pokes fun at the Bohemians and Beatniks. Walter Paisley (Dick Miller) is a waiter at a common hang out for the artsy and the fartsy (Bohemians), called The Yellow Door and he doesn't quite fit in due to his lack of brains and artistic abilities. Walter has a crush on a girl who works at the Yellow Door and he fantasises about being one of the hipster-elite and winning her over. The crowds opinion changes on Walter when they see his new sculpture... Walter calls it "Dead Cat" and the Bohemians don't know that Walter accidentally killed his landladies cat and tried to cover it up by molding clay around it. The cat has a knife sticking out of it and people seem to find it a morbid piece of genius art. Walter becomes more and more popular as he shows each new sculpture and of course each new sculpture means a new murder. Walter Paisley quickly moves on to humans and becomes self absorbed with his new life and claim to fame. He tries hard to look and act like the people whom he seeks approval of and its great to see Dick Miller with silly scarfs and Barret's on. Due to the fact that this is a 50's B&W film there really isn't much blood in the movie but its still a fun fast paced B-Movie. We get a frying pan to head murder and the body is drained of blood into a bucket, Hence the title A Bucket Of Blood. We also get a strangulation by Beatnik-Scarf scene, A decapitation by table saw and a hanging. "I suppose he would have called it hanging man. Its possibly his greatest work."
My personal favorite director, Herschell Gordon Lewis did a great ripoff gore version of this movie called Color Me Blood Red. Both films are highly recommended.

Boogeymen : The Killer Compilation (2001)

I bought this compilation back in 2001 because I have a fetish for trailers. I found the movie (if you can call it that) cheesy back then and have not watched it again until now. Well its still just as cheesy but in a way its kind of amusing.
The compilation takes 17 of what they call the most horrifying, sadistic, blood-thirsty killers of all time (I feel it might have more to do with who owns the rights to the films) and gives us a little bit of back story on the slasher maniacs, before playing a clip from the movie. They chose a couple of important staple horror flicks and villains, like Leather Face in Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Michael Myers from Halloween. Then they got a couple of the cheesy 80's Slashers in there that I don't really care for, like Chucky from Child's Play and The Leprechaun but then its just got the god-awful shit that makes me want to blow my brains out, like Wishmaster and I Know What You Did Last Summer. Perhaps the most ridiculous thing about the whole compilation is when they mention Jason Voorhees... They chose to show a scene from Jason Goes To Hell. Why the hell would you show that movie out of all of them? Boogeymen is a cool concept for young kids who are into horror movies but it doesn't explore anything much further then movies like The Ugly or The Guardian. Aside from the compilation/movie and all the trailers, the DVD also sports some trivia and a "Name That Frame Game" which I think is a really cool idea. Unfortunately the game is way to easy on here but if someone ever came out with a less silly DVD with the same general idea, maybe for more underground movies it would probably be really cool.
This compilation really isn't worth your money but if it was on at a friends house it might be worth a quick look. Mainly just a background time passer.

Bloodlust (1961)

This is Bloodlust, not to be mistaken for the band that Mari and Phyllis are going to see in Last House On The Left... Nope this is a 1961 B&W ripoff of The Most Dangerous Game. A group of four teenagers discover a island inhabited by a (Vincent Price wanna be) madman who has a unique sense of sport. He doesn't hunt animals. He hunts and kills humans and keeps them as trophies. "I will hunt them as men. Men of brains and cunning."  He tries to preserve the bodies to stay in the exact position they were in when he killed them and he has a Bucket Of Blood sort of museum for them.
Bloodlust clocks in just under 70 minutes and the movie doesn't seem to get slow or drag. Theres a couple of semi-gory scenes for a early 60's film. One man is pushed into a vat of acid and we get to see his face melt away. A drunken sailor is shot in the gut with a crossbow. Theres a bloody Crucifixion scene, one guy drowns in a pit of quicksand and then we get my favorite part where a guy has leeches hanging out of holes in his face. I couldn't help thinking of "Squirm face" in Jeff Lieberman's Squirm. We also got this crazy guy who runs around in the woods compulsively laughing. Bloodlust is a little more then a time killer. Its actually a pretty fun movie. The only problem I have with Bloodlust at all is that there seems to be so many opportunities for the captive kids to fight back but they never do. Either way Bloodlust is still one of the best Most Dangerous Game ripoffs unless of course we are counting Jess Franco's Tender Flesh! Check em both out. Make a good double feature!

Blood And Black Lace (1964)

It is no secret that Dario Argento was heavily influenced by Mario Bava but nowhere is it more obvious then  in Blood And Black Lace. The camera work is as good as it gets in this early Gialo and the lighting is perfect. Bava's choice of colors is real eye candy for the viewer and also adds a whole new level of eerie, surrealism. Argento borrows from almost every aspect of this film. Watch Blood And Black Lace and Suspiria back to back and you will know what I mean.
Blood And Black Lace is typical of a Bava film in the sense that the movie tends to drag from time to time but the visual keeps the audience interested. Also this seems to be the turning point where Bava's films would become slightly more violent. This one came out in 1964, only one year after Black Sabbath and the level of brutality has undoubtedly increased. Still this movie is by no means a splatter film but the murder scenes just seem a little bit meaner. This Gialo follows a black gloved, (of course) masked killer. Who is killing off a bunch of pretty models. Every one becomes suspicious because everyone appears to have something to hide. It will still be a few years before we get Mario Bava's ultra-gory movies like Twitch Of The Death Nerve but the beauty and artistic view of his early work is almost just as pleasing. This is another must see from the Grandaddy of Gialo.

Blitzkrieg : Escape From Stalag 69 (2008)

Not to many people have the balls to make a movie like this today. Kieth Crocker and Kieth Matturro fashioned their 2008 movie Blitzkrieg from the long forgotten infamous Nazisploitation genre. You can tell these guys knew their background and you have to apretiate any independent film maker who makes the movie they want with little or no support from studio's and rich producers. This thing is one hundred percent out of pocket and it really does show. All of Crockers previous films were shot on film but unfortunately he couldn't afford to do the same with Blitzkrieg. He chose to shoot on digital and this also shows. If you take a look at the early test footage and the original trailer, this thing was going to be shot on 16mm reversal and then dubbed over. The final product of those trailers look so authentic, you almost believe this is a real Italian made Nazisploitation flick from the 70's. Unfortunately due to the use of digital the final movie does not come out very impressive at all. Instead it comes off as a amature independent flick paying homage to the golden age of trash cinema. The torture scenes are pretty brutal with all kinds of perverse violence spread throughout but you have to wait for what seems like ages between all the cool stuff. Blitzkrieg was over two hours long and the dialogue seems to go on and on. It can get very tired and boring at times. Still one can only wish that we would go back to shooting with film. This movie could have been one of the all time great cult exploitation flicks and the best part would have been that it was done indepently in 2008. Digital video does not have any place in horror, unless of course you like shitty movies like Blair Witch Project. I still respect everyone who worked on this film, both Kieth's all the cast and my good friend Steve Montague. For a better time you might want to check out some of Kieths early short films or even his full length superior exploitation killer gorilla flick The Bloody Ape.

Slaughter Hotel (1971)

Not much of a plot going on here which almost makes this a little more of a Slasher then a Gialo. Basically the whole story is that a psycho is running around a mental ward hacking up beautiful women. Aside from a few male doctors this mental institution is apparently only for gorgeous girls. For this reason Slaughter Hotel (also known as Asylum Erotica) is more of a flesh show then a blood show. There are plenty of murders with a large assortment of weapons but the movie really lacks in the gore department. However the lack of red stuff is made up for with the massive amounts of full frontal nudity. We get to see just about every actress nude and we even get close ups on vagina's and masturbation scenes. For this reason I had very mixed feelings on this one. I went in expecting all the trashy sex but I also thought it was going to be a total gore fest as well. The violence picks up a little bit towards the end with a mental patient massacre and a whole shit load of exploding squibs. Slaughter Hotel reminded me of a less violent version of Torso. Its not exactly one of my favorite Gialo's but I can really see this thing growing on me.

They Came From Within (1975)

They Came From Within also known as Shivers is another great from David Cronenberg. Its almost like a cross between Night Of The Living Dead and every epidemic film ever made. This one is so awesome because the viral parasite is spread through sexual penetration, so the movie is almost a message on the scary and fast spread of sexually transmitted diseases. Conenberg also chooses to make the victims become sexual deviates which allows for lots of sleazy and creepy rape scenes. The movie also has a nice amount of gore in it and lots of nude scenes including actresses such as Barbara Steele and Lyn Lowery. They Came From Within also has some very weird scenes including a sexually charged child and another where two young girls are being walked on leashes like dogs. The parasite in this movie also looks like a piece of shit. This thing is spewed up with blood in some scenes and in others it climbs up into vagina's (Barbara Steele's vagina to be exact). They Came From Within is often compared to Cronenbergs Rabid but in my opinion this one is a bit better. Either way they are both great horror films from the Canadian king and should be seen by everyone.

Queen Of Outer Space (1958)

Did you know that on the planet Venus its only inhabitants are beautiful, man hating babes with ray guns? I was unaware of this until I saw Queen Of Outer Space which was directed by Edward Bernds who also did the awesome Return Of The Fly. This thing starts off slow and boring with typical 50's good guy chit chat and well mannered ladies. Once we land on Venus the movie really starts to take shape. There are plenty of beautiful space babes in extremely short dresses. One babe in particular is just such a knock out that I feel compelled to possibly see her whole filmography. Her name is Lisa Davis and she alone made this movie worth my time. Queen From Outer Space also has some pretty grotesque makeup for a 50's flick. This one chicks face is rotten as a result of radiation and this is her reason for hating men. Especially men of Earth. Theres also a silly 50's spider monster thrown in there for a little added fun and a bunch of ultra cheesy special affects. This thing is almost like a really early sexploitation flick but of course theres no nudity being that its an American film in the time it came out. Non the less its pretty obvious who the audience was for this thing. It must have been a teenage boys fantasy come true. So if you're into silly 50's Scifi movies and sexy space chicks running around, you should check out Queen Of Outer Space.

Blacula (1972)

Second best Blaxploitation horror flick of all time. Number one is the other William Marshal epic William Girdler film, Abby. Or the Blaxorcist as my friends like to call it. The director went on to do another pretty cool one called Doctor Black And Mister Hyde. Theres also a sequel to this thing called Scream Blacula Scream which you can also read about on my blogspot.
Blacula is fun all the way through, its got all the crazy 70's pimp-wear that ya could ask for including capes. We got homosexual vampires, super bad 70's jargon, ridiculous black funk bands complete with huge Afro's and crazy dancing, Stakes to the heart, Vampire melt down complete with maggots, transformation from human to bat, and a few racial slurs and fag bashing here and there. One of my favorite scenes consists of a vampire massacre where the weapon of choice is Kerosene lamps. Apparently these lamps explode on contact and don't need any sort of spark or flame. Where exactly does one get a self exploding Kerosene lamp? Theres also some very obvious continuity, in one scene a dead woman is laying down on the slab in a morgue completely naked with only a towel over her and then in the next scene shes running around with one of those hospital gown. We also have a police officer massacre, Blacula electrocutes one cop, throws garbage cans at a few and fucks up about half the force. Its also a love story so if you can convince your girl to watch some jive ass vampires she will probably enjoy it.

Black Dynamite (2009)

In 2009 we got the best homage/spoof explotitation film possibly in history. Tarantino and Rodriguez got together to do Grindhouse but this thing blows those movies away. Black Dynamite looks like a authentic Blaxploitation film from the 70's. The soundtrack seems like it coulda came straight out of The Mack and the wardrobe is incredible. Black Dynamite is a cross between Rudy Ray Moore, Fred Williamson and every other black bad ass motha fucka from trash 70's cinema. They really must have known their movies because it seems like every five seconds there is another reference to a specific Blaxploitation flick, from Dolemite to Coffy, from The Mack to T.N.T. Jackson and Black Belt Jones. Their all in here. Not only does the movie look like a legit 70's exploitation movie but its funny as hell and perfectly paced. It never seems to slow down or get the least bit boring. After watching this movie I had to paint myself up in black face and stare at the mirror because I want to be Black Dynamite.

Ride Hard, Ride Wild (1971)

70 min Biker film from Denmark that doesn't have to much going on plot wise. It does have a few orgies and a sex scene that had me wondering if the actors were actually having sex. Theres also gratuitous marijuana smoking and lots of motorcycle racing. Ride Hard appears to be going nowhere until our main characters are attacked by a group of three bikers. The attackers tie up the guy and take turns raping his girl. First we get a pretty lengthy lesbian rape and then the two men have their turn. After the gang of three get their rocks off they try to decide what to do with her boyfriend... Should we cut his face up? Nah! Should we beat him a little more? Nah! Oh I know lets burn him a little. They warn the beaten boyfriend to close his eyes so they can burn his face with a road flare a little bit. The gang-raped girlfriend takes revenge by shooting one of the rapists in the face with a shotgun. The couple take off on the road and the other two rapists go free. Ride Hard, Ride Wild seems rushed and theres not really any sort of a conclusion. The director was credited as Elov Peterssons but is in fact cult/exploitation pioneer Lee Frost, who is responsible for tittles such as House On Bare Mountain, The Defilers, Mondo Bizarro, Love Camp 7 and The Thing With Two Heads etc. I think this is my least favorite Lee Frost film that I have seen to date with the exception of Zero In And Scream. Only worth a watch for die hard biker film fans and even they might be disappointed at the lack of story.

Piranha (1978)

The military hires scientists to genetically engineer a new strain of carnivorous Piranha. They called this project "operation razor teeth". The Piranha were originally designed to destroy the water system in Vietnam but of course the operation gets botched and the killer fish are loose in a American river. A children's summer camp and a summer resort become the main targets for the blood thirsty fish.
This is the first of the Piranha films and the best out of all of them. It was directed by Joe Dante who would of course go on to do The Howling. James Cameron will go on to do the sequel in 1981 where the fish will mutate once again and fly. Then in 2010 we got the Piranha remake in 3D. All of the Piranha films are dumb-fun but this one is by far the best. It has Paul Bartel as a summer camp councilor who bullies around young girls but he wont be stalked by a dude in a hockey mask. Instead he will be ripped to shreds by the Piranha. We also have Dick Miller (the king of cameo) and hes always great to look at. Barbara Steele also shows up, not looking so great in 1978. The movie also throws in some gratuitous nudity for good measure and I find it completely brilliant that the Piranha eat the bikinis off of swimming babes for some bare boobage. We also got some nice gore here and there. I'm not sure who decided that the fish should make such an obnoxious sound when they attack but you might need some ear plugs. So stuff your ears with some cotton balls and enjoy a bloody outing with Piranha.

Black Devil Doll (2007)

People complain that this movie is totally racist, sexist and just 100 percent offensive. Some have called it pornographic and Al Sharpton of course is strongly apposed to it. To me this is the best write up or review you can give a movie. You just have to love a movie that offends everybody. The only thing is why would anyone be offended by a movie about a puppet? How serious can this movie possibly be? There is no point here, there is no message. Black Devil Doll is pretty much a filthy, disgusting remake of the 1984 shot on video, so bad its good, Black Devil Doll From Hell. For once the 2007 movie is better. Its filled with every type of perversion you can think of. Black Devil Doll offers us five rape scenes, Explosive diarrhea that can burn through locked doors, Sexy babes showing their huge fake jugs constantly, Sexy car wash scene complete with puppet masturbation, We have puppet on man anal rape, Strangled wiggers, the constant use of racial slurs, Theres an electric chair scene, A woman gets fried in the bathtub with the ole toaster trick, Theres a bloody throat slashing, A gory baseball bat to the head scene, We have a knife to the guts, A spaghetti Western style showdown, Necrophilia, Salad tossing, A arm gets blown off complete with splatter, Bullets to the gut complete with leaking intestines, We have a head explosion, Lots of jive 70's jargon (ya dig?), We have a suicide, A disgusting puppet child birth scene complete with umbilical chord biting and blood spewing from between the legs. Theres a sexy-lesbian-twister scene, golden showers and piss drinking, Puppet blow jobs and I'm sure I'm leaving out all kinds of sick happenings but I'm pretty sure you get the idea. Quote of the movie "Baby I say Nigga over a hundred times a day. Its the only thing that keeps my teeth white." Just about every line in this movie is hilarious. Its really the perfect movie to watch  with a few friends while knocking back a few beers.

Run Angel Run (1969)

This is one of the weirdest biker films ever made in the sense that it has a little bit of class. Usually these motorcycle movies are just exploitation flicks filled with rape, violence and sex but Run Angel Run dares to be sensitive. For this reason I didn't really care for the movie all that much the first time I saw it. I would much rather watch Satan's Sadists or Hells Angels 69 but I have become quite fond of this movie. It still has the violence and of course the rough biker gang rape scenes but it also has this whole subplot with a couple trying to make their relationship work, At times it can really make the movie drag but as a whole I dig this wimpy biker flick.
Run Angel Run follows a biker named... Angel and Angel is on the run from his biker gang who he betrayed and snitched on for ten thousand in cash. Angel's ten grand is waiting for him in San Francisco but his ex-club members are on his tail every bit of the way. There is one really cool motorcycle chase in the beginning of the film with split/screen being used in every way possible. Its a really cool scene that you just won't see in movies today unless maybe you're watching a Tarantino movie or something. There's also a typical bar fight scene which is expected from any biker flick but this time we have a go-go dancing babe shaking her ass in her purple leotard. The rape scenes although done very well are not overly graphic due to the fact that the movie unfortunately doesn't exploit many naked bodies. The movie ends with a big brawl, Angel versus his now rival motorcycle gang. Run Angel Run can be a interesting change of pace for a fan of the biker genre. I would rather watch this one any day over Easy Rider.
This thing was directed by Jack Starrett who has a few other biker flicks to his name, Nam's Angels and Cry Blood, Apache (neither of which I have seen). He also has a few Blaxploitation credits to his track list, Slaughter and Cleopatra Jones (not the best in the genre but both fun movies). Mr. Starrett also did Walking Tall : The Final Chapter which you can also read about on my blog.
So sit back with your chick and enjoy the most sensitive biker film ever made. Its one for the couples!

Through The Looking Glass (1976)

A cross between The Devil In Miss Jones and Night Dreams with a touch of Valerie And Her Week Of Wonders. Through The Looking Glass is a very dark piece of 70's smut with a lot of style. A rich woman inherits her deceased fathers mansion and her secret obsessive fantasies for him are growing until she sits in front of a old mirror in the atic and her father (Jamie Gillis) appears as a half rotten corpse and finger bangs her. From here on the visits to her childhood mirror become more frequent and with every visit she enters another world... A surreal dream-like world where perversion, fantasy and pleasure is always the main course. The movie works so well in the sense that every time we enter this other devious world, we feel very uncomfortable. The audience just knows that something bad is going to happen. The musical score mixed with the strange use of lighting really adds to the creepy atmosphere of the film. Jamie Gillis is incredible as the supernatural, demonic father and the supporting actors are all believable as well.
In one very strange scene we have a girl douching herself out on the toilet. The camera then enters her vagina and travels around for a bit. Similar to something you would see on a medical documentary or something. We also have all this strange perverse imagery going on, like Jamie Gillis screwing a mound of sand and licking it. Or a golden showers scene with two girls covered in filth inside a bathtub filled with dirty brown water. There's also some incest going on in here which seems to almost be normal for 70's porn. I also feel that Through The Looking Glass has a artistic message about people with to much money not being able to face reality and perhaps not being able too look at themselves in the mirror. One of the best hardcore flicks I have seen in a while. A must see!

The Beast Within (1982)

What do you get when a woman is raped by a slimy creature within the opening of a film? You get one big let down where everything is to dark to see! Why is it that in the 80's they thought it was okay to make a slew of Slashers and Monster movies that is to dark to make anything out? Well this one is very dark and even when you think a scene might be cool you cant really see whats happening. The movie has a few scenes that is actually lit well enough to let you enjoy a little bit of gore but it doesn't last for very long. One of the more memorable murder scenes involves some splattery blood mixed with chop-meat-feet-grinding. Almost sounds more like a fetish for some foot pervert but I think the main reason anybody would possibly like The Beast Within is the transformation scene... The camera lingers on a boys face swelling up (with those crazy 80's latex bubbles, that we all love), allowing the Beast Within to escape and reveal its true form. This scene is awesome and beats the transformation's in most werewolf movies. The funny thing is that The Beast Within plays very much like a werewolf movie. You almost expect there to be a crazy transformation scene and its obvious that the director must have had a soft spot in his heart for werewolf flicks because he went on to do The Howling Part 2 and 3 (oh god, remember The Howling Part 3, with the marsupials?). This movie also stars the great Don Gordon (The Mack and Out Of The Blue). He loses his head in a decapitation death scene but his character is kind of lame. Really only worth a watch for a couple of special effects but if you're going to take this one on don't forget your flashlight because you're really going to need it.

Piranha Part 2 : The Spawning (1981)

James Cameron delivers a pretty dull follow up to Joe Dante's Piranha and just in case if the first film wasn't dumb enough for you they decided to make the killer fish fly in this one. Lucky for me its not hard for a nature gone wrong film to please me. I pretty much like em all from Hitchcocks The Birds to Frogs (1972). I even like the really bad ones like William Girdler's Something Is Out There. Piranha 2 is pretty lame up until the second half. It opens up with a weird under water sex scene, where a couple cuts each others scuba gear off and then get down and dirty before being eaten by piranha. This is the only nudity that the film has to offer. The movie really goes down hill from here for a while with not much interesting going on except for maybe some bad dialogue  (watch for the dentist scene). It takes a while for people to start getting killed and then we see more of the ridiculous flying fish. There is some gore in the film and my favorite scene involves a piranha flying out of the guts of a body in a morgue and attacking a nurse. Another great scene involves Lance Henriksen jumping out of a flying helicopter for no apparent reason other then having a helicopter explosion in the movie. This ones really only worth a watch for nature gone wrong fans who don't mind brain-dead horror movies. I just find it interesting that the remake went with the end of this downer.

Battle Royale (2000)

Battle Royale is a movie that I try to watch once a year. Every time I see it, its just as fun as the first time. Its almost like a really violent version of Lord Of The Flies (which is another favorite of mine) but instead of the kids getting stranded on a island, they are placed there by adults so they can play a game of survival. They have to kill each other off within three days. Only one survivor is allowed. If there are any more their necklaces will explode and everyone will die. The violence is nonstop because there are about forty or so kids per game. The kids are all classmates, so there are friends and enemy's amongst them. Some choose to commit suicide rather then participate in killing their friends while others get much more pleasure out of the situation that they were put in. The thing that makes this movie so cool is that every kid gets a bag with a random weapon in it. It can be anything from a machine gun to a garbage can lid. I have the full 121 min. directors cut so there is a lot more dream sequences and other back stories then some other versions but it does not slow the mayhem down.
We have three suicides by hanging (one with pants around the ankles and note written on toilet paper). We have three suicides by jumping one leaving some red stuff all over the rocks. Theres exploding necks with Japanese spraying-splatter-gore. We have shot gun blast to exploding head, Stab wounds to the penis, Theres a really cool scene where a guy gets decapitated and has a grenade stuffed in his mouth, then the head is thrown through a window causing a big explosion. Theres also a cool poisoning scene where a girl pukes blood up in her launch, this followed up by one of the best shoot outs in the whole movie. Every couple of minutes someone is being machine-gunned, shot-gunned, hand-gunned or being sliced and hacked. My kind of movie!
